  1. Dr. Craig Bauman

    Dr. Craig Bauman has been associated with the innovative and award-winning Centre for Family Medicine Family Health Team in Kitchener for over three years and has gained considerable insight into interprofessional collaboration and the important role chiropractors can play within an interdisciplinary team environment. His duties include patient-centred, evidence-informed treatment for patients, patient education, and being project manager for the new Research and Innovation Centre Mobility Clinic. Dr. Bauman graduated from CMCC in 1990 and also works at the WSIB Re-evaluation Centre at Grand River Hospital.
     
  2. Susan Cooney

    Susan Cooney, the director of Montgomery Consultants, comes from a strong chiropractic family background. She taught the Chiropractic Office Assisting program with Career Canada College in Hamilton and Toronto from 1991–1996. It was during this time that she established Montgomery Consultants, in memory of her father, Charles Montgomery, DC. Susan worked with the OCA as Manager of the PMP from 1996–2005.

    Susan has proven herself a leader in the field of chiropractic, and as an accomplished speaker, trainer and coach. It is Susan’s desire to serve with integrity and enable her clients — DCs and staff alike — to move to new heights in all areas of their business and communication.

  3. Roger Gooden

    Roger Gooden is the president of Softworx Solutions, the creators of ChiroWrite SOAP notes software.

    With over 20 years of software experience, he has created software solutions that have provided positive results to customers around the world. He studied computer programming at Seneca College and business administration at York University.

    In 2003, Roger and his partners formed Softworx Solutions to create ChiroWrite. With a mission to create a system that is easy to use yet meets the many demands of a chiropractic practice, ChiroWrite was born and launched to the public officially in March 2006.
     
  4. David Hayward, B.A., (Hons.), LL.B
    Barrister & Solicitor, Martin & Hillyer
    – Lakeshore Law Chambers

     
    David Hayward was admitted to the bar in 1994. His practice is focused primarily on motor vehicle accident claims, and accident benefits claims in particular. David has conducted numerous arbitrations and appeals at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) over such issues as entitlement to Income Replacement Benefits, funding of chiropractic and massage therapy treatment plans, and housekeeping benefits. David has also conducted trials (jury and non-jury) in the Superior Court of Justice on behalf of clients injured in car accidents.
     
  5. Lauren James
    Manager, Software Support & Development
     
    Lauren has been with the OCA since 1999 on the PMP Support Line and conducting PMP training sessions. Previous to her employment with the OCA, Lauren worked in chiropractic offices as a CHA, office manager and consultant. Currently, Lauren manages PMP and software development, where she is happy to combine her loves for chiropractic and software.
     
  6. Dr. Andrew Miners

    Dr. Miners graduated with clinical honours from CMCC in 2004, and was one of only two chiropractors accepted into the postgraduate residency program in Sports Injury Sciences. This program provided opportunities for Dr. Miners to mentor with top sports chiropractors, orthopaedists and radiologists. He acted as team doctor for Canadian representative soccer teams, the 2006 Ontario Junior Taekwondo National Championship Team and the 2006 Canadian National Taekwondo Team. Upon completing the sports residency program, he was honoured by receiving an award/bursary for excellence in leadership, research and teaching. In 2007 Dr. Miners became a fellow of the College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada) and is an accredited sports injury specialist. He has completed the requirements to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Kinesiologist (CK).

    He is a certified provider of various soft tissue and clinical treatment techniques. Currently, Dr. Miners is completing a three-year training program to become designated as a chiropractic rehabilitation specialist. In addition to practicing within a large multidisciplinary medical clinic in downtown Toronto, Dr. Miners is an Assistant Professor and Clinician at CMCC.
     
  7. Liz Pridham
    Software Support Representative
     
    Prior to joining the OCA team in 2004, Liz spent over 25 years in a variety of chiropractic and multi-disciplinary offices. She provides PMP support and training and is involved in program testing.

    Her love of chiropractic, her passion for people and her experience give Liz the ability to offer assistance with many of the special situations in your clinic.
     
  8. Dr. Moez Rajwani
    OCA Health Policy Officer
     

    Dr. Moez Rajwani graduated from CMCC in 1994. He is certified in Occupational Health and Acupuncture and is a lecturer and part-time faculty member in the department of Clinical Sciences at CMCC. He is the Director for Rehabilitation Services at North York Rehabilitation. He is presently the Clinical Coordinator of the Toronto East General Hospital Regional Evaluation Centre. His practice is focused on chiropractic rehabilitation with a special interest in chronic pain. He performs numerous chiropractic independent assessments and is the current board member at Access Alliance Multicultural Community Health Centre.
     
  9. Dr. Richard P. Ruegg, B.Sc., Ph.D., DC

    Dr. Ruegg obtained his Ph.D. in comparative physiology from York University in 1982 before graduating from CMCC in 1989. Prior to becoming the Associate Dean, Clinics at CMCC, Dr. Ruegg held research positions at the University of Toronto, University of California, Berkeley, and York University. He has taught physiology, anatomy and micro-anatomy and currently coordinates a course in auxiliary therapies. His current research interests include the development of clinical practice guidelines and the effect of spinal manipulation on immune responsiveness. He has published 17 scholarly works in Canadian and international journals.
     
  10. Jeff Schmidt
    EHC Consultant
     
    Jeff Schmidt is a consultant who advises the OCA in the area of extended health care plans. Prior to founding his own firm in 2003, Jeff held positions as partner, senior executive and national practice leader in two of the largest Canadian and global human resources consulting firms. Jeff has over 20 years of management consulting experience, specializing in employee health and benefits and internal communication. Throughout his consulting career he has advised leading Canadian and multinational employers in the development of strategic program design and delivery. He is an acknowledged expert, speaker and journal contributor about health and benefits and member-centric program design, education and communication issues.

    Jeff is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario at London, Ontario, and holds an Advanced Graduate Diploma in Management from Athabasca University at Edmonton, AB.
     
  11. Dr. Eleanor White

    Dr. White has represented the Ontario and Canadian Chiropractic Association and the CFCREAB on the clinical practice guideline process since its inception. Her involvement has been realized by serving on the Guideline Development Committee, an authorship committee consisting of researchers, editors, CPG Task Force, public members and, of course, chiropractic practitioners. Dr. White has practiced in Markham, Ont., for 26 years and is currently serving on the executive of the Canadian Chiropractic Association.
     
  12. Paula Yaremko
    Software Support Representative
     
    Paula started her professional career in chiropractic over 22 years ago. Her first position was as a CHA and she quickly transitioned into the role of Office Manager of a large multidisciplinary health care facility. She has a particular focus on the area of motor vehicle accidents and has assisted many professionals with her knowledge and preparation of claims. Paula joined the OCA team in 2008, and she is instrumental in offering PMP support; specifically in the area of MVA’s, PMP training and software testing.
