About the OCA
The OCA represents Ontario’s chiropractors. Established in 1929, the Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA) is a voluntary professional association whose mission is to serve our members and the public by advancing the understanding and use of chiropractic care.
- Who we are—The OCA is governed by an elected board of directors, who are supported by committees and the OCA staff.
- What we do—We advance chiropractic health care by supporting our members in practice, supporting research in chiropractic, raising awareness through advertising and public education, and demonstrating the value of chiropractic coverage in government and extended health care plans.
- Membership—The OCA today represents approximately 2,700 (81%) of Ontario's practicing chiropractors.
- Student membership—The OCA offers a no fee membership to chiropractic students which provides access to practice opportunities and the latest information about Ontario's chiropractic profession.
- Regional societies—Chiropractic societies promote chiropractic at the community level through volunteer activities such as service groups, health groups, public speaking, career days, charitable events, or simply being present as community events to increase the public's awareness of chiropractic health care.
